INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEAT PRESS
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEAT PRESS
***** COLD PEEL *****
• Testing: Always perform a test press with similar fabric and settings before proceeding with the final press. This can help you adjust pressure, temperature, and timing as needed.
• Set your heat press to 300-320°F (COTTON) or 270-290°F (POLY) with firm pressure.
• Preheat the Fabric: Use the heat press to preheat your fabric to remove moisture and wrinkles.
• Correct Pressure: Ensure your heat press has sufficient pressure. This is crucial for the transfer to bond properly with the fabric. If the pressure is too low, the print may not adhere well, leading to issues with durability and quality.
• Heat Press: Press the heat press down onto the transfer paper and fabric for 12 seconds.
Cold Peel: Once the time is up, lift the heat press. Carefully peel off the backing paper after the film cooled down.
• Hand Rubbing for Low Pressure: If you don't have access to a high-pressure machine, or if your design contains very fine details, using a fabric and rubbing vigorously by hand after peeling can help in better bonding the print to the fabric.
• After peeling, place a sheet of heat press paper over the pressed area and press again for an additional 5 seconds to set the print onto the fabric and vaporize oil residue.
